Coaching
can best be described as a journey where a coach (personal mentor, manager, and trainer) will guide the client (person or
organization or team) from conception of the current reality to achieving a desired outcome that will benefit or enrich the
client’s life or organization or team. The coach is qualified and equipped with tools to assist the client discover
habits that are obstructing the client from achieving a desired outcome or goal in their life or organisation or team. The
coach is always focused on the client’s agenda (never his/her own agenda) and will provide dedicated personal support
to the client to empower the client to achieve the desired outcome in perpetuity. Another description used to describe coaching
is the association of coaching with dancing where the coach first leads the client through the dance steps until the client
is ready to carry on with the dance of personal empowerment into perpetuity.
Coaching
cannot be done in isolation or on your own because this would negate the most important facet of coaching the interaction
between coach and client.
Coaching
examples:

seven years and didn’t know why he couldn’t get started. With a coach he had the business up and running within
12 weeks. Having someone who believed in him made all the difference.’
‘A client had been thinking about
writing a book for three years. With a coach she wrote two chapters every week and finished the book in 3 months.’
‘A client complained that his business
had never grown. The coach pointed out that he never devoted any time in his week to actually building his business. The result
of this new insight was a fourfold increase in sales during the coaching series.’
‘A client hadn’t had a relationship for a year and wanted to meet
someone who they could share their life with. Part of the strategy towards his goal was to date twice a week. He was in a
